A.N. McSheffrey Woodworks was founded on the belief that thoughtfully made handcrafted woodwork can achieve something greater than either function or aesthetics alone; it can imbue the functional object with richness and dignity that will provide both value and joy to those who experience it.

In a world where mass production rules the day, the age old skills of handcrafted workmanship reaffirm the need for a human response to form giving. Hand-made woodwork celebrates the most basic human intention: a considered translation of need through the reverent use of wood – one of nature’s most essential materials. It is a time honored ritual, the union of man and nature.

Andrew McSheffrey has extensive experience in the building industry and studied in the acclaimed North Bennett Street School's Cabinet and Furniture making program. He is a proud member of the Society of American Period Furniture Makers and the Furniture Society.
